Cost management is a journey toward a sustained competitive advantage for your
company. Competition today exists more between strategically aligned supply
chains than between individual companies. As these supply chains look for ways
to differentiate themselves, technology, quality, service and timely delivery,
while critical, may not be the answer. Providing all of the above at a lower
cost than that of a rival supply chain will ensure long-term profitability and
survival.
Unfortunately, most organizations do not have a clearly defined approach to cost
management. The answer to cost pressures is often found in reactive budget cuts.
This fast paced course will provide you with the processes and tools to create a
structured cost management process at your company. These methodologies have
been used at several world-class organizations such as IBM, Hewlett-Packard,
Philips, Motorola, Kodak, Chevron, Capital One Financial, Sara Lee, American
Airlines, Deere & Co., Mercury Marine, Arizona Public Service and PSEG to save
billions of dollars.
Before a supply chain attempts to manage costs, it is imperative that you first
understand the costs you intend to manage. This course is built around two
stages:
- Understanding supply chain costs
- Managing the cost of the supply chain using AIM&DRIVEŽ
